Explorer 320 Thermal Camera + Fireworks

We took the new Explorer 320 up to the Top of the World in San Clemente, California on July 4th 2014 to watch the Fireworks display at the San Clemente Pier nearly 1000 feet below and 2.6mi away. We draw a comparison between what is seen with the naked eye and what the thermal imager sees. We were impressed that fireworks displays could be seen through the imager as far as 6 miles north on the water in Dana Point, CA.

The short video clip features footage from a Canon 5D Mark II DSLR Camera and Explorer 320 Thermal camera.  Both systems were securely mounted to high quality Bushnell titanium tripods. The footage from the Explorer 320 was captured using the Video-out feature to a personal DVR.
